Message of Secretary General of the Iran Transition Council to People of Iraq
To the Noble and Resistant Nation of Iraq
Your uprising and resilience against corruption and the disloyalty of some politicians and their disregard for the human dignity and civil rights, has taken the attention of the whole world. Your neighboring Iranian nation, who has also been facing the same obstacles for the past four decades, sincerely stands by your side and admires your civil courage in standing up against injustice, oppression and corruption.
Do not allow the Islamic Republic dominate the fate of the Iraqi people again. Your country should be ruled by those who respect your national interest and independence and believe in the well-being and prosperity of its people, in peace and coexistence with others.
We are well aware of and unconditionally condemn the widespread interference of the Islamic Republic and its mercenaries in Iraq. The account of this authoritarian and corrupt regime is separate from that of the Iranian people. The Iranians do not approve of the Islamic Republic’s interference in the affairs of the Iraqi state, the region and the world.
We fully respect your independence and condemn any intrusion in the fate of the Iraqi people. Wishing you victory in your struggles to build a free, democratic state that is free of all wars.
