سخنان شما، بخصوص برای ما ایرانیانی که برای برقراری دموکراسی و حقوق بشر در ایران بر روی شما و مردم آمریکا حساب می کنیم، جذاب و امید بخش بود. همانطور که شما خود نیک می دانید چهل و دو سال است که حقوق بشر توسط حکومت دینی مستقر در ایران به طرز وحشیانه ای پایمال می شود.
ما باور داریم که منافع ملی دراز مدت آمریکا کاملا در راستای آرزوهای مردم ایران برای برقراری دموکراسی و صیانت از حقوق لاینفک انسانی است.
بنابراین ما از شما درخواست می کنیم که سیاستهای دولت جدید امریکا این علائق دراز مدت دو ملت را در خود منعکس نماید.
ما مردم دوستدار آزادی در ایران و پراکنده در جهان (به همراه میلیونها ایرانی در داخل ایران که در صورت بیان خواست خود برای استقرار یک حکومت دموکراتیک، جانشان به خطر خواهد افتاد)، تلاش خواهیم نمود تا بار دیگر ایالات متحده آمریکا را به متحد استراتژیک ایران تبدیل کنیم.

The Iran Transition Council (ITC) congratulates you on your historic election. Your energetic, honest and enthralling inaugural speech yesterday offered a ray of hope for democracy, constitutional government, and free and fair elections everywhere. Your speech was especially poignant for us Iranians who are counting on you and the American people to support us in establishing democracy and upholding human rights, an aspiration which, as you well know, has been brutally suppressed for the past 42 years by the theocratic regime in power in Iran. We believe that the United States’ long-term national interest is entirely in line with the Iranian people’s desire for democracy and the protection of the inalienable rights of human beings. Therefore, we humbly request that your policies reflect this shared long-term common interest of our two countries. We, the freedom-loving people of Iran as the diaspora (as well as millions inside Iran who risk their lives if they make their wish for democratic government known), will strive to make the United States, once again, Iran’s strategic partner
