ITC’s Letter to Joseph R. Biden President of the United States of America

Dear President Biden

We are extremely happy for your election as the 46th President of the United States of America. Best wishes for the success of your Administration.

Mr. President, you have announced in your election manifesto that you will return to JCPOA, however, it must be stated that the corrupt Islamic regime in Iran has not and will not abide by any agreement, internationally or otherwise. The regime’s nuclear and missile program is strategic, and the Ayatollahs think having nuclear bomb will be a preventive measure that could leave the regime free with its devices to achieve its strategic aims and objectives in the region, Shia Islam Empire. After Iran-Iraq war Ayatollah Khamenei, in February 1987, when the country was still locked in a bitter war against Iraq, told a gathering of Iranian nuclear scientists: “regarding atomic energy, we need it now…. Our nation has always been threatened from outside. The least we can do to face this danger is to let our enemies know that we can defend ourselves. Therefore, every step you take here is in defence of your country and your revolution, work hard and quickly”.

Mr. President, there are sufficient evidence the regime of Iran cannot be trusted. The Ayatollahs have lied to people of Iran and to the world community about their intentions. The regime’s terrorist acts over the past decades are the vivid evidence that the regime will not truly commit itself to international agreement and diplomacy. For example, the regime has marched over the American flag for years, also chanting for the destruction of United States and Israel. It is worth to note that last week a diplomat of the regime Assadullah Asadi, was sentenced and jailed for 20 years for terrorist acts in Belgium. It must be realized, if Asadi’s criminal act had not been duly uncovered and stopped, many innocent people, along with politicians from the U.S. and Canada, including former Governor Bill Richardson, former FBI Director Louise Freeh, former U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Canadian Prime Minister Steve Harper and former French and Italian ministers would have been torn to pieces.

On Friday, February 7, 2020, 11 suspected Iranians were arrested by U.S. border guards on the Mexican border who were attempting to enter the United States illegally. Negotiation with the Islamic regime of Iran will only exasperate the situation and gives further opportunity to imports hundreds of terrorists and intelligence agents into the United States through Venezuela and Mexico borders to carry out terrorist acts.

Mr. President, the aspirations of the Iranian people have been and is to establish a Secular and Democratic Constitution in Iran. Following the JCPOA agreement, when Iran received substantial financial benefits, the Islamic Republic lost a major opportunity to implement meaningful welfare reforms for its people, and to stop its malign behaviour, and pursue a policy of harmony and peaceful coexistence with the regional countries. Instead, the regime spent billions of dollars gained from the Iran nuclear deal on exporting its totalitarian ideology by providing funds to terrorist networks, developing missile technology as offensive leverage to dominate the Middle East and beyond, and causing chaos in the region.

Mr. President, we firmly believe that the new political reality in Iran and the Middle East has provided the Iranian people with a historic opportunity to achieve a peaceful transition to secular democracy. Therefore, we respectfully request your administration to recognise the Iranian people’s aspiration and interest for a Secular Democratic Constitution; maintaining maximum political, diplomatic, and financial pressure on the regime; advocacy for human rights in Iran; supporting the Iranian’s determination in seeking a secular democratic government through a non-violent, free, and fair election.

We further request your diplomatic support for the Iranian aspiration is recognised through an effective media support through Voice of America (VOA) and the Radio Farda whose expenditures are met by the United States’ administration.

Respectfully yours,

On behalf of the ITC Executive‌ ‌‌‌Board
