“Corruption Causing Debility of The Islamic Regime to Govern.”

Twenty-one members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization have been arrested in Mashhad and detained awaiting judicial investigation.

In a regular government committee meeting, it has been stated: injection of large sums of money into the fluid currency market, in order of 7 thousand billion tomans, will no doubt unleash an unprecedented inflation in April (Farvardin) and May (Ordibehesht). The meeting predicted the exchange rate will increase to sixty thousand tomans per dollar.

According to the latest guarded information, there are at least 140 active economic circles (institutes) in the country who control the country’s economy. These circles are mainly formed by military active duty and retired personnels, businessmen and the government’s statesmen, i.e., ministers and directors. Their goals, besides acquiring more wealth, are to strengthen their position in the society, and attempt to destabilise and create economic bankruptcy in others.

In the forthcoming year one of the major issues for Iran regular Armed Forces is recruitment. Reports from the Armed Forces informs, the rate of attrition (defection) is estimated to be 40%. 

Fifty city-level Friday Imams (theological leaders) have written to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander and raised the issue of the conflict and confrontation between people and the local IRGC personnels. At least in 50 cities, clashes between people and IRGC has been reported. This issue has necessitated for 50 Mosques Imams to request intervention by the IRGC in provinces including central provinces, Hormozgan, Gilan, Char-Mahal-Bakhtiari, Khuzestan and Fars.

The country Ports and Shipping Organization in a communique has informed more than 39% of the household electrical goods and more than 57% of the industrial machinery has been cleared from the IRGC private ports, without paying import duty taxes. It is reported the value of the imports before-tax amounts to a figure of at least 9 billion dollars.

The country clerical students and seminary clerics’ head, from several cities, have held a meeting with the President Ebrahim Raisi, to discuss terms and qualifications for paying students’ tuition fees and the level of the students’ housing benefit and support. The meeting has failed to produce any solution and they are now seeking a meeting with the supreme leader Khamenei.
