That the House of Representatives urge the Government to expel the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Petition reason
I believe the Islamic Republic of Iran has shown its utter disregard for human rights. If human rights matter, they should matter everywhere, and I believe the Government should demonstrate its commitment to these values. I believe the Government should act upon this public request urgently, as words of tokenism alone do not help Iranian people who suffer from the incumbent political system in Iran. I believe expelling the ambassador would be a meaningful act of political protest.
