Iran Transition Council (ITC) declares kidnapping, assassination and crime are the regular acts of the Islamic Republic of Iran and condemn it in the strongest term.

On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, the U.S. Justice Department unveiled the thwarting of the Islamic Republic’s Intelligence Ministry’s plan to kidnap Ms. Masih Alinejad, a human right activist, and transfer her to Iran. The evidence of this crime, i.e. photos of the professional kidnapping team members published in the world’s media can no longer be denied and/or overlooked. This is a strong evidence that the Islamic regime has been involved in assassination and murdering of its political opponents since its formation. The regime had also previously attempted to kidnap Ms. Alinejad by persuading her to travel to Turkey, where they could have kidnapped and transferred her to Iran easily; this attempt was also fortunately failed.

Further, not long ago, German security forces arrested Asadollah Asadi, a diplomat at the Iranian Embassy in Austria, as the head of the Intelligence Ministry’s assassination team, planning to detonate an incendiary device at the People Mojahedin’s gathering where several western world diplomats were invited. The arrest of Asadi angered the Government of the Islamic Republic, and the Government’s Foreign Minister, Mr. Zarif, was forced to take a false stand!

Also, 32years ago, on July 13, 1989, Dr. Qasemlu, the leader of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan, was assassinated by the assassin team sent from Iran including agents from the Rafsanjani’s Ministry of Intelligence, in Vienna; this case is still open and ongoing.

It is ironic that, if the professional assassin teams of the Islamic Republic succeed in kidnapping and murdering dissidents, the regime loudly declares it as the victory for the unknown soldiers of Imam Zaman, the 12th Imam of Shi’is still to reappear. Such activity was carried out by the assassin team on the case of Ruhollah Zam in Iraq. However, if assassin team fails, the regime will deny it outright, as they have done in the case of Ms. Alinejad. It is worth to note that the embassies of the Islamic regime all over the world are the centers for organizing and managing terrorist operations under the guise of diplomatic cover against the political dissidents.

The assassination of dissidents stopped in Europe after the Mykonos trial, where Dr. Ghasemlu and others case were heard. The recent presidential election, and the defeat of the Islamic Republic in that election, however, has raised fear in the regime that they are losing the grip in Iran and once again restarted the business of dissident kidnaping and assassination to instill fear in members of the political opposition abroad to stop support coming from outside the country.

The ITC, while pleased with the failure of the kidnapping of Ms. Alinejad, invites all Iranians living in different countries of the world take decisive action to limit the influence of lobbyists of the regime by protesting and asking the Western governments to stop appeasing the terrorist regime of Iran. It is now the time for the Iranians inside and outside the country are heard by the international democratic and peace-loving people of the world and the international communities. The civilized world cannot possibly allow and tolerate any more ISIS type rule and watch the Iranian people be perished by the Islamic terrorist regime in Iran. Iranians cannot possibly stand by and observe the western power remain indifferent to human rights abuses perpetrated by the regime in Iran and strongly protest.
