Europeans blame IRI for attack on Saudi oil facilities

The United Kingdom, Germany and France agree that Islamic Republic was behind recent drone and missile attacks on Saudi oil facilities, which caused damage and a slump in production.
Governments of these European countries, issued a joint statement in New York “condemning in the strongest terms” the attacks on the Saudi oil facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais, saying “it is clear to us that Iran bears responsibility for this attack,”. Iran denies being responsible for the attacks and has called the European statement “baseless”.
Meanwhile, Iran is still in contact with the remaining members of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action nuclear deal, after the US withdrew unilaterally.
In their joint statement, France, the UK and Germany reiterate their conviction that the time has come for Iran to accept negotiation on a long-term framework for its nuclear programme. But they reconfirm that the three are still committed to the deal agreed with Iran on 14 July 2015.
Just before the joint statement was published, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that “If the joint agreement was a bad deal   and I’m willing to accept that, it had many, many defects   then let’s do a better deal.”
Islamic Republic has rejected a joint statement by the leaders of France, Germany and the UK who blamed it for attacks earlier this month on Saudi oil installations. Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister, accused them of “parroting absurd US claims”.
