Iran Armed Forces warn regime’s Security Forces repressing water protest in Khuzestan

On Thursday, July 22, 1400, the deputy commander of the Police Force, General Qasem Reza’i, threatened in a video link with the family of Lieutenant Zargham Parast, who was killed in the Khuzestan demonstrations, that “they will not allow opportunist in Khuzestan province to create an atmosphere of insecurity (1).” To exercise legitimacy for his threat, he also said the account of protesting people differs from the armed insurgency; the dissidents”.

The protest in Khuzestan began because of the “water shortage”, but because of the lack of wisdom and mismanagement, the regime not only did not respond to the needs of the water shortage, but shot dead the destitute people who were demonstrating for their legitimate right. The protest was very limited to start with, but with the brutal actions of the security forces, the protest spread to other cities including Dezful, Susangerd, Shadegan, Shush, Hamidieh, and Ahvaz. Further, in many other cities, people have shown solitary with the movement; including RobatKarim and Karaj near Tehran. It seems people of Iran are determined and taking decisive action to red themselves from the murderous Islamic regime in Tehran.

It should be noted that the plain of Khuzestan enjoys the great rivers of Karun and Karkhe, the most water- resourced rivers in the country. Therefore, the drought and thirst in this province is due to the wrong decisions of the mafiosi’s type of regime in Tehran. The protest in Khuzestan is mainly due to the mismanagement of water resources that has been ongoing for many years.  Building of unscientifically based dams, dust storms and sandstorms in the past two decades have put the health of Khuzestan’s residence at serious risks.

Reza’i threatens the peace-loving people of Khuzestan and considers them dissidents to legitimize killing them! Does General Reza’i imagine he can stand up to all people in Iran? It is a good question to answered! Reza’i has sent more military units, cutting off the Internet in the southern part of the country, evokes the vivid memory of November 2019 when the regime killed more than 1500 in Mahshahr, due to quadrupole increase in petrol price.  As the regime cannot offer solution to the needs of the people, they continue to use the violent and terror in the public to deter protest and demonstration. The government has not only failed to manage the country’s water and environmental issues, but it is the source of its destruction. To put down the legitimate protestation, the regime arrest, imprison, and execute protesters and environmentalists; this has been ongoing for several years in Iran. Unfortunately, the root and cause of such crisis and the main obstacle to solving issues is the Islamic Republic itself.

Iran’s Armed Forces and Comrades

As a veteran with more than 30 years of guarding Iranian waters, I have a message for you, although with heart feeling about the oppression that is ongoing in the province of Khuzestan. The Islamic Republic is incapable of providing livelihoods for the residence of Khuzestan, and especially during this scorching summer heat. It is not able to provide any solution to the water crisis. People in many cities in Iran have risen to support the protest in support of their compatriots. To control the situation and maintain their survival, and to bring the uprising to an end, the regime makes use of the most repressing apparatus. We hold this incompetent regime responsible for oppressing and killing its own citizens.

To suppress the protest, the Islamic Republic has sent more troops including the Revolutionary Guards to the province.  The Iranian people’s only hope, now rests on their Armed Forces. They expect the National Army defend the integrity of the country and national sovereignty, but also the lives and property of the people during crisis. There is no doubt that the Iran National Army will abide by its oath and will not allow the murderous Islamic regime to use them to suppress and kill their brothers and sisters.

My fellow military comrades,

No Iranian soldier will ever be the suppressing tool for the regime, “No,” never!

When people protest for their legitimate and lawful rights, such as uprising in Khuzestan, we will not stand against the people of our beloved homeland, and we will not fire a single bullet at them. But, by maintaining the law and order and the necessary secure environment, we will assume our duty of defending the national sovereignty during the crisis and will stand by the people of Iran and save the country from disintegration.

My fellow military comrades,

We raise our voice to tell Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the leader of the regime, and to the heads of his Revolutionary Guards, that we, the patriotic military men and women, will not take any action against the people of Iran, especially our compatriots in Khuzestan, but we condemn such actions perpetrated by the Revolutionary Guards and the Basijis. We warn the regime against the repression of the people during this difficult time, and declare we will stand with the People.

My fellow military colleague,

It is the life of our countrymen we are concerned with!

The People of Iran

 Commander Mohammad Farsi
