“High Inflation Causing Widespread Discontent”
- Ministry of Intelligence has reported significant strain on some families to purchase school’s supply for their children, particularly in Tehran and other major cities, where income/expenditure is not compatible. The Ministry has suggested subsidies for those who are in need. Therefore, it is hoped the Ministry of Education and other supporting organisations would help.
- The IRGC Intelligence has reported nearly 3% of their personnel have lodged resignation requests. It is revealed they are part-time employed in non-governmental organisations to earn income to support their families. This would mean, if agreed, significant number of trained personnel would leave the force. The IRGC consultation forum for remedial action suggests due to inflation and staggering cost of living, even 100% salary increase would not be sufficient to stop those who have submitted resignation.
- The Quds Force Command reported lack of coordination between some Iraqi tribes for transfer of weapons to Hezbollah. It is reported insufficient funds is available to carry out the operation. The tribes joint statement informs the amount of funds allocated last year has not been sufficient to cover for this year. They have demanded up to 80% increase to carry out their operation in the remaining part of the year.
- The Ministry of Intelligence has uncovered irregularity in oil sales network run by the Oil Exploitation Company. The repost suggests, during the last 7 years, more that 100 million barrels has been fraudulently smuggled for personal gains.
- in a report, Ministry of Intelligence also reported many cyber internet systems have been smuggled through the country’s southeast and northwest borders. The systems are used by the public, covering effective network during protests when the government affects the internet networks by reducing signal strength and/or disconnection. These systems will have significant advantage when crisis arises; communication with the outside world will remain intact.
6-The IRGC reported significant reduction in recruiting Basiji through mosque networks; shortage of committed personnel is experienced and the attendance of people in mosques are significantly reduced. For encouraging participation, the organization is focusing on appeasement, including free cultural and artistic programs, including free tour travels.
7-The Lavasanat Endowment Organisation reported few intelligent security commanders, have built dwellings on 25 plots of land belonging to the Endowment, refusing to vacate the premises. The organization has lodged lawsuits with the judicial system requesting justice for perpetrators.
8-The IRGC reported, following its organizational restructuring, widespread complaints have been lodged by its commercial holding companies. More than 20 holdings have submitted formal objections to the restructuring and have stopped services until the process for payment and new contracts are clarified. These commercial holdings have been managing projects for the IRGC for the past 24 years, exclusively.
9- The Ministry of Intelligence has reported, significant support from the new government for fast-track custom discharge of the imported facial recognition security cameras and the installation of the cameras in major cities across the nation. The ministry also stated the Office of the President considers national security emphatically important.
